Unit 2 Assignment 2

Justfacts.com CRAAP test:
Currency: Fail, because the web is not updated regularly. No dated or author's name
Relevance: Fail, there is no search engine in the website. It's hard to find the topic
Authority: Fail, no author's, no published date.
Accuracy: Fail, since the post has not been updated, the information might be too old to be accurate.
Purpose: My opinion is that the author did try to post the facts on the website and wanted people to come and take a look. However, since the website has not been updates, I guess there are not many people actually come to his website and take a look at it. Or maybe he has moved all the contents to other pages.

Factcheck.org

Currency: Pass, because the website is updated regularly. And the website has been operating since December 2003
Relevance: Pass, there is a search engine and after I typed in my topic, there are several articles that relevance to my topic.
Authority: Pass, at the end of each article, there are some tags showing the authors, categories. It also has the sources that used to wrote the article.
Accuracy: Pass, all the articles about guns topics I found on this website have some information that I know personally. The website does give a professional look  and the language is normal.
Purpose: the purpose of factcheck is to rebuttals to what it considers inaccurate, misleading claims.

After conducting the research about guns on campus with 3 search engines, I found out that they are all show the same results. However, the order of articles might not be alike. On goole search engine, it has 2 categories: the first one is for academic articles, the second one is for new. This is a good feature for students who want to do research about this topic. As for the meta-engine, the first 2 that I used show the results that are completely identical to each other

Introduction

Hello everyone.

My name is Hai and this is my first time creating a blog. I'm a sophomore at GSU. My major is accounting. I've been living in U.S for 5 years. My english sucks :) so please feel free to correct any errors you see on my blog. I would love to learn my mistakes.

I'm a manager of a marketing company called SalonStreets, where we promote hair salons by designing websites, videos, business cards, banners and many more. If you would like to check it out, please go to this link: http://mysalonstreets.tumblr.com/   http://divinetouchhairsalon.com/  http://investafric.com/chu/rhb/

If you have any suggests or comments on the work that we did, please feel free to do so.

Web 2.0 tools that I would like to know more about are Video-sharing file, Twitter, Instagram, Blog. The reason I want to learn about these tools is because it would help my business. Marketing is about social media, so I think knowing more about video-sharing file and Blog would be great.
I also use Facebook and Email to communicate with my families and friends in Vietnam. I use Wikipedia to get general ideals about things that I don't understand.
